Question Haven't been around in a while, Coming back but have questions!

Hello friends!

TLDR: I have a CTR. I'm about to pick up a 2018 Fit Sport in Helios Yellow as a daily. I have a few questions:

1. Is push to start not standard on the sport?
2. I'm not seeing Helios Yellow available in a manual or even white for anything new like 2019, Looks like you can only get grey or metallic sport manuals. Can someone confirm please?
3. What will I not get by having a sport and not an ex or exL?
4. Any tips? Must do's?

What up mang!

1) No, One Push Start is only available on EX and higher trims.

2) Helios Yellow (2019 will be the last year for it) and Platinum White Pearl 6 speed Sports do still exist for 2019... You may have to order or dealer trade for one since they are scarce. Maybe even wait for a 2020.

3) You will not get One Push Start, Smart Entry, a sunroof, Lane Watch (camera in passenger mirror), side mirror signals, heated leather seats, and I think that's pretty much it. Surprising to me, Honda Sensing does show as an option for the 6 speed manual Sport via the factory parts catalog.

4) Shim the rear axle to make sure the alignment spec is good, snag a second set of wheels and tires to go track the damn thing! :P

You could add it as an option for a while to any manual transmission.

Everything works as long as you shift normally. If you take the car out of gear or you hold the clutch in for more than two seconds, it disengages the ACC.

I had hoped to find one before I got my car, but they're apparently rare.

Believe it or not, no. I honestly want to say that B-Spec folks are running 205/50R15s or 205/50R16s. I'll have to look at the 4 B-spec Fits at MSR-H and verify.

The hand full of times I looked on the 2018 model year configurator, Honda sensing forced a CVT only selection. This was later changed for 2019 and 2020 model years and allowed the manual to be equipped with sensing as well. I've YET to see a Sport of either transmission and Honda sensing arrive at my dealer.

i was tempted to go with a set of 205 50/15's but thought they would be a little too short , would really look cool though .ended up with 195 55/15's .they work well and haven't thrown off the speedometer or the mileage

At the Honda configurator, I could not see a way to get Honda Sense with a 2020 manual.

It is indeed available, I checked via the Honda parts catalog and it lists Sport w/ sensing and manual transmission as an option.

That'd be really neat if we could order it, but I don't see any way to do it.

A quick check of inventory doesn't show any 2019 or 2020 cars configured that way. But 2020 is only just now arriving, and it's a different factory from the 2019, so who knows.

You'll have to put a deposit down and special order it.

Please forgive me for this:

Do you know for sure what you are talking about, or is this an Internet forum supposition?

I don’t mean any insult. I just want to be sure.

I have only had my Fit for a couple of weeks so I am not in the market, but there are bound to be people whom the information would benefit.

Thanks very much for your help.

The Honda configurator recently was showing that the accord sport came only in 1.5 not 2.0t. Which is wrong. Don’t trust it atm.

word on street is manual fits were in short supply, possibly not produced at all until the lines start running at speed getting the volume models out. Talk with the dealer if you really want one.

This is legitimate based upon what I'm seeing via the Honda parts catalog (not Bernardi parts, not College Hill, straight from Honda) as well as from what I've seen in the past. Honda tends to do a "trading card" like tactic when it comes to releasing models in regions. Here in the south Texas area, its very seldom to find a manual GK5 period... Much less a niche and high impact color such as Helios Yellow or Orange Fury with a manual transmission and not even taking Honda sensing at a variable at all.

If you are indeed dead set on **insert configuration** then either speak with the new car manager or general manager to place an order for your desired vehicle. Its usually a 60 day or more wait depending on the vehicle but is indeed do able. Both of our Ridgelines in the family were special orders (2006 RTL in Redrock Pearl and a 2010 RTL-Nav in Bali Blue) and took approximately 45 to 60 days to get after placing the despot/order. I've even seen orders of this type done at my dealer multiple times including one client who put a deposit down a year and a half in advance to have the very first 2017 Civic Type R to hit our store without even knowing what the darn of it was (just happened to luck out on Championship White). O.o

The biggest thing is contacting the your preferred dealer and seeing what vehicles are "in queue" to arrive. Usually by the time something is 60 days or further out is when the vehicle can either personalized to a special order or traded out for a different model all together unless of course it is a vehicle with a long waiting list or low production count (like the Civic Type R a couple of years ago). Otherwise, you as the consumer will usually have to resort to searching for your vehicle and traveling to purchase it or having the dealer trade for it themselves and make the deal there.

I also put empathize on putting a deposit down as well... We've been trying to get a 6 speed manual Accord Sport 2.0T in Still Blue as a part of our general stock for example. Not one has arrived yet due to a mix of other dealerships in the area seeing a higher pre-ordered/deposited demand as well as that option combination for the vehicle is rare in itself. Oddly enough we've gotten 3 San Marino Red 2.0T manuals as an alternative. Hahaha

Mind you I'm going from what I've seen as someone who sees these niche or odd ball cars that comes though the shop for pre-delivery inspection, spoke with the new car department on various inquires about model, trim, and/or drivetrain configurations that we usually don't or rarely stock, as well as a consumer who either has personally had or a family member order a specific combination.
