I just purchased a brand new 2019 Honda Fit Sport a couple weeks ago. I love the car to bits, but it does seem to have a few problems: There's a little bit of a thumping sound from the back when I brake suddenly at low speeds, there's a small ridge on the passenger side of the dashboard that doesn't really look like it was designed to be there, and I just discovered some rust on the metal parts of the front seats tonight. I attached some pictures below. If this isn't normal, what can be done? What can/will Honda do for me to fix these problems? Wasn't there a flood in the Mexican factory that produces Fits some time back? Could that have been the issue?
I noticed the same on the driver's seat of my 2016 Fit EX. The front passenger doesn't show any rust. I'm the second owner and got it from a small dealer who likely got at an auction. My car had been involved in an accident, but only bumper damage and without airbags deployed, if that's at all a factor.
I am curious how@exl500 thinks the dealer would/could address/remedy...?
