Several warning lights came on AGAIN

It was just several months ago I had several warning lights come on at once. The dealer said it was bad fuel injectors. It was covered under my extended warranty. I've read many others had the same issue. This week it happened again and this time they narrowed it down to valves needing adjusting. I have 58,000 miles on the car. Anyway, I paid the $580 to have it done and I must say, it runs smoother.

I have read that you can have the same car go a few hundred thousand miles and never need valve adjusting and the exact same car model, year, etc, need one at much lower mileage. I drive a 2015 Fit with a 6MT. The car they gave me to use for about 5 days was a new automatic Fit. I was glad to get my manual back. Autos are just too boring to me.

I agree, the CVT Fits are way too boring. I believe it's good practice to have valve clearances checked every 30,000 miles. Valves that are too tight are more dangerous than too loose, but both will cause problems.

That just means you're doing it wrong.
Flappy paddles for the fun, full auto for the rush hour, sport mode for when you're lazy AND in a hurry.

I know it sounds crazy, but I feel like I have MORE flexibility in making the transmission behave the way I want in the CVT. For example, cruising down the interstate at 75mph, if I'm in "drive", I'm running right at 2,500 RPM. If I'm in sport, I'm running just under 4,000 RPM. If I'm in manual in "7th gear", I'm running at 3,000 RPM.

I realize this sounds a lot like an off topic rant...................... Sorry.

I do agree that when I'm stuck in heavy traffic and it just keeps on inching forward to where I can't ever let the clutch fully out, yeah, then the auto is nice. Or when you're trying to drink something while doing city driving. Or when you're just feeling lazy and don't want to shift. I hear ya.

The paddle shifters are not something I tried a lot to play with on the Fits I asked for while they were working on my car, but I didn't find them anywhere close to resembling the manual. I know there's no wrong on right to either as long as the driver is happy overall. I also like small cars. Big cars and trucks don't appeal to me much at all, so I'll try to keep the Fit as long as it's practical.
