Man what a difference from the stock brakes!
put on stainless steel brake lines up front too with some motul dot 4 brake fluid. Car has some serious stopping power now.

I was looking at performance brake shoes until Fastbrakes came out with their rear disc kit. Install is a bit of a pain, but as long as you don't go with super squeaky Hawk HP+ pads, the result is pretty good.

That's good to hear. I was wanting to stick with the shoes because I want to keep the brake bias the same.

I use the Porterfield R4-S from Zeckhausen racing. Great consistent braking from the drum setup, very little wear over many race miles...

According to their site, 120 and 250 respectively for the front and rear!

And I thought parts for my BMW were expensive!

Rear shoes

$110 for the rear shoes. I'm on 10 HPDEs each of 100ish miles of track. They show little wear, and I've caught my fronts on fire...
They're good value. Who says their rear disc's changed their life?? I am switching to disc in the rear when I go to 6 piston wilwoods in the front. They were back order in the Spring but... I feel that will be justified. I've gone through 4 sets of power stop track pads and rotors up front, my fave, and the rears are still fine...
FYI I have two new sets lying around. I'll take$50 for them and this website will be dead before those brakes will...
