Anyone know where the hands-free telephone microphone is?

I was hoping for something more specific. I attach my smartphone/map to a vent and fear the microphone may be close to it. The map voice drowns out the conversation when she tells me when to turn.

 

In the 2015's there is one on each side of the head unit next to the CD slot. The Tech and User manuals show where they are at.

 

In my 2018 EX, it's in the overhead panel with the map lights and sunroof controls.

 

Weird the tech manual (pg. 16) shows the microphone on the head unit, and the owners manual (pg 248) shows it where you described. In the users manual the dash looks like it is based on the LX. Inside my car I can see all three spots that the microphone could be. Looking at dash shots of the LX it looks like the head unit lacks the small holes for microphones. So I wonder if the EX uses several microphones in an attempt to filter out background noises.

Edit: Took a look at the manual and it looks like the 18's don't have mics in the head unit.
