Can I install paddle shifters on the Honda Fit LX?

Hey, I was just wondering if can install paddle shifters on the 2019 Honda Fit LX because I really like that feature in cars.

Am sure it could “be done,” but at what cost and would it be worth it? Sell and buy another would be my advice… fwiw

Your best bet would be to find a steering wheel with the paddles on it and do a one for one swap - provided all Fits have the paddle shift connections/communicators, which I don't see why they wouldn't. (the only way to know for sure is it remove the steering wheel of a paddle shift Fit and a non paddle shift Fit, and see if there is a 1:1 correlation between all the connectors or if there is anything not also found on the non paddle shift FIt) It would be a feat finding a wheel and another feat to swap it out, but it's better than rigging your own paddles or buying another car (and potentially a set of problems) entirely.

It's much more complex than just a steering wheel swap. lol

That would be an awful lot of work just to ignore them like everyone else. Paddle shifters are probably awesome in a Ferrari, but they are a joke in a Fit. I do downshift with the paddles fairly often for engine braking, but engine braking in a Fit is a bit of a joke as well.I'm not bashing the Fit. Just the paddle shifters in the Fit.

I actually use my paddle shifters fairly often. Not quite every drive, but close. I find sport does a good job holding the RPMs higher above about 35mph, but below it can still be a bit low for my taste. Also, when cruising down the highway, if I want to pass someone, I can blip the left paddle and the CVT will bring the revs up almost 2k RPM for about 10 seconds, then bring them back down. That's just enough time to get a good pull of power to whip around the guy in front of me.

Edit: That said, I can't imagine adding the paddle shifters being easy, or cheap.
