Need the 12V Auxilliary Power to stay on (Cigarette lighter)

I have a 2017 Honda Fit EX with a manual transmission. I flat tow (4 wheels down) my Fit behind my motorhome and need the accessory power socket to remain powered on to power my auxiliary brake controller. Before I begin towing, I put the transmission in neutral, press the Start/Stop button once to unlock the steering wheel and then make sure the radio is off. I plug in my brake controller to the Auxiliary Power socket (cigarette lighter socket) and after setting up the brake controller close the door. Everything works great for 30 minutes and then my brake controller looses power. It appears that the Fit has a timer on the Aux Power Socket and turns it off after 30 minutes. I thought maybe if the key fob was in the car it would override the timer but no such luck. After 30 minutes the power is turned off. Does anyone know how to keep the Auxiliary Power socket powered on when the car is in Aux mode (1 button presson Start/Stop button) or am I going to have to install another 12V socket tied directly to the battery in order to power my Brake Controller?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Maybe just wire it to constant with a switch between the socket and power. Easy on easy off.

Even easier would be if someone knows a "magic sequence" to defeat the auto-shutoff. Come On Fit Freaks, nobody knows a way to disable this timer??

In all honesty, there are probably some who know how to do this(not me), but are avoiding to respond for whatever reason.
I think many of the senior members expect noobs to use the search function as opposed to simply replying to the question.

Regardless, good luck in your search!
