Tire change on Fit Hybrid 2017

Hello,
i got stock rims 15inch and tire size of 195/65r15 on front and 185/65r15 on the back!
After a lot of youtube videos, im planning to change to 16inch michelin pilot sport 4 205/55r16!
Is it a nice option? Or it wont fit properly on the car?
Thanks for advice!

that sounds like a mess as the stock tire size is 185/60 15 . 195/55 15 would be the closest diameter match for a wider tire (.30 shorter )
205/55 16s would be a whopping 1.14 " taller , 205/50 is closer at .33" taller than stock

Heya sorry for late reply,
thanks for the advice, but isnt 205/50/r16 much more prone to collapse in some potholes? Or the comfort might be a discomfort due to low profile tyres? Thanks

there's plenty of pictures of GKs on the internet with that tire / wheel set up , they are low , but not that low . as far as ride comfort , i don't think it would be that much
of a deficit . bottom line , the 55 series is too tall , would affect your acceleration and mileage

I'm a bit late to this, but are you talking about putting the r16 tire on a 15" wheel? That won't work at all. It didn't occur to me at first, but just in case you're new to tire sizing or anyone reading this is, the last number is wheel diameter, and it has to match. There's a reinforcing ring in the part of the sidewall that contacts the wheel, and it won't stretch to fit a larger or smaller diameter wheel.

The other numbers are tread width/sidewall height ratio, you can find calculators online to show the difference in clearance for different size tires. As for the model choice, it's difficult to say without knowing where you're getting your tires from. Is there a website for a local company we can look at to show what is available?

The PS4 isn't available in that size in the USA, so it's probably not made in that size anywhere. If you want a performance tire, the BF Goodrich Comp2 A/S is great, cheaper than the Michelin but might wear out faster. Continental DWS 06 gets recommended a lot in the Civic forum for performance too. Not sure if either is available where you're at, but both are made in 205/50 r16.
