Broken Screw

Broken Screw

I had a tough time removing those two plastic screws holding the splash pan to my son's Fit. Then one of them broke. I'll have to do what I did with my Fit and put quick disconnects in place of them.

I just bought a bag full of replacement plastic push pins from Amazon. All that's needed is a size designed to fit a 10 mm hole. I always throw the old one away now and always replace it with a brand new one. I have used ty-raps and other things in the past to hold that pan but ended up coming back to these.

Ah, that's right. I forgot about that. I have a whole boxful of them.

Thanks. Yes, it does take some of the nuisance out of changing the oil. I like the idea of those push-plugs, too - the plastic plugs used to attach certain plastic parts.
