Hi fellow FitFreaks !

I'm coming to you from Australia where our Jazz's are very similar to the JDM and AsiaDM models. Over here, Apple Carplay and AA head units were only introduced in 2020.

Luckily (or unluckily, depending on the answers I may receive) I've stumbled across a 2020 wreck with the radio head unit intact. I can confirm that it has AA/Carplay on the unit.

My question for you all: has anyone every seen or heard of someone retrofitting the 2020 Headunit on a pre-pacelift GK? Or perhaps s facelift 2017-2020 headunit on the pre-facelift?

Any answers or information would be greatly appreciated !

We get this question every so often, can you install a newer head unit into an older vehicle and expect it to work?

thanks! I did see that thread and it sort of gave me a bit of hope. It does seem unlikely without significant efforts and knowledge on wiring since it doesn’t appear to be direct plug and play. Why Honda why ?!!
