2018 honda fit head unit

Does anyone know if it's possible to replace head unit without navigation to factory head unit with navigation?

changing factory HU is a lot of work. id go aftermarket in this case, or doesnt your GK come with carplay/android auto?

yes, I have Car Play. Just wondering if the difference between the 2 head units is just an added module for navigation or something more complex that makes it so much work.

Carplay - Apple / Google Map coming soon to iphone are far more advance then the Factory Nav Map. Since the map are never updated after you got the car. Things will be outdated years to come.

In fact Garmin is updated quite often. Factory updates are free for 5 years. I assume they figure you will sell or trade in by that time. My Garmin is always being updated. Sometimes I lose signal with Apple maps, I never lose Garmin GPS signal.
