pads at 33k

got new pads for my '19 GK 6 speed / 33k from Honda a few weeks ago just to have them on hand , took a good look at both sides today .still look good , i think i can
squeeze 40k out of them . can't remember how i did with my last manual Honda . is this typical for the GK ?

The Fit is a very light-weight car and with a 6 speed stick, you'll stress the brakes far less than on heavier cars and those with auto/cvt transmissions.
I can't see any reason why you can't get at least 60k out of them.

'16 LX w/CVT. Still on the original pads at 81K.

I think much depends on your ability to slow the car without using the brake at all, CVT or stick.

I'm always planning ahead to slow the vehicle just by lifting off the throttle, say at a freeway ramp exit, with as little brake as possible. Does two things: Increases fuel efficiency and decreases brake wear.

Also depends on the kind of driving you're doing. Mostly highway you're not using the brakes as much as you would in stop and go city driving.

My front pads didn't need replacing until 116k on my 2010 5sp MT. I'm still using the original front rotors as nothing was wrong with them. I live in an area with minor traffic and I like to coast to a stop as best I can. Further, now that I've just recently learned more about brake pads and how the semi-metallic are made, I'm going to switch to ceramics from now on. Less wear and tear on the drums/rotors.

2017 LX CVT 88K miles, OEM brakes. Mostly highway miles. My OEM Firestone tires lasted 44K miles, and my Sentury tires (yup, made in China) replacement is lasting over 44K miles so far. Longevity depends on how you drive.

I got 70k miles out of my 2015 EX CVT. Replaced with OEM pads, and now with the pandemic with a lot less driving, will probably be awhile before new pads.
