Immobilizer Flashing Green - 2015 Fit, EX, Smart Entry

Dear Friends,

Is there something in the cabin A fuse (panel) assembly that is tied to a programed key FOB? If so can I reprogram my FOBs or Cabin A fuse assembly? Car involved is a 2015 Honda Fit EX, with smart/keyless entry-push button start.

BACKGROUND
Recently I removed and replaced my cabin A fuse assembly. The reason I changed out the cabin A fuse assembly was an incompatible fuse assembly was installed after a front end vehicle collision, verified by review part number labels on fuse assemblies.

BEFORE INCOMPATIBLE FUSE PANEL SWAP
I drove the car for several months before I noticed something was wrong. . The car would start and the FOBs did their job. No Immobilizer warning lights.

AFTER COMPATIBLE FUSE PANEL SWAP
Once I installed the correct cabin A fuse assembly I immediately noticed the Immobilizer (the warning lamp on the instrument panel which is a silhouette of a key) was illuminated and flashing green when the ignition was turned on. The engine would start and only run for one second than would shut off and the Immobilizer warning lamp was still illuminated and flashing green. FOBs did their jobs, locking and unlocking doors.

CONCLUSION
In order to drive the Honda, my daily driver, I swapped back the old incompatible cabin A fuse assembly and now the Fit starts and drives with no issues, both FOBs work, no Immobilizer warning light.

Well.....honestly, if it runs fine with the so-called incompatible one, I'd run with that.......you said it causes no issues, so........????

Dear Fuelish,

Thank you for the reply; I did not want to convolute this tread with talking about the problems I am having with the installed incompatible Cabin A fuse block. It is the apple and oranges discussion. Everyone would start discussing the symptom (apple) without ever discussing the "Cause" (orange) of the problem. All I hope to do is document if you change the Cabin A fuse assembly, how do you reprogram the fuse assembly so it will recognize the FOBs? Or do I have to reprogram the FOBs to recognize the (new/used) compatible Cabin A fuse assembly.
Respectfully,
Mike

Dear Friends,

CASE CLOSED. After searching on the Internet, apparently I need to R&R or reprogram the MICU which is contained inside the Cabin A fuse assembly, see video link below;
. Hopefully someone in future will benefit from the thread.

Respectfully, Mike

Glad ya got it straight (hopefully) .....the more electronics they cream into our cars, the more worrisome, We have my '15 Fit LX (no touchscreen stuff, little compared to new cars) and my wife's '21 HRV EX (touchscreen bonanza) ......glad it's her DD, not mine.....heh.... 'tis a quite nice car, though

Just in case anyone is wondering what happens when an incorrect MICU is installed. I copied the narrative from a related thread. Update.
Had to take the vehicle into a Honda dealership who was willing to replace and reprogram my used MICU, total cost $240, $150 for dealer to R&R and reprogram MICU plus $90 for purchase price of the recycled MICU. Well worth it because now I have use of the hatchback release and a bunch of other little things work now with the correct MICU installed. Four items I noticed so far since the correct MICU installed: 1. Hatchback release works, 2. Auto all door locks when the vehicle moves about 40 feet. 3. All doors automatically unlock after open driver's, after engine stop, 4. Electronic Beep instead of no audible alert when I wave my hand inside the side door latch to unlock vehicle door. 5. Electronic beep instead of the louder blast from vehicle horn when I double click the FOB to lock vehicle. Thanks again to everyone who read and posted tips and tricks. CASE CLOSED.
