I recently removed my rear shield to replace parking brake cable. Unfortunately I broke every single one of the push clips removing it. I got it zip tied for now, as well as reattached the bolts that aren’t those silly push pin things.

Does anybody know how/where to order those dumb little push retainers? I know there are some universal deals but got dam, the real ones can’t be all that expensive. I’m just having trouble finding anything exact on the internet!!

Easy to find on Amazon under "push pins automotive".

The ones which hold the shield which has to be removed for an oil change is the 10 mm one. (That's the size for the hole that they fit into) I don't know if other covers also require 10 mm or use different sizes.

I got a box of a hundred or more in different sizes. Now, I'll have to find uses for them. 😋

I went ahead and bought this little package, I think it was under $15 usd. If I don’t have the right dumb little push pin thingies I’m going to cry. PS 10mm is not enough information y’all, there are two additional dimensions to account for. I’ll let y’all know if any of these are a good fit!

Those one do works but I found these ones were slightly more snug of a fit:

I guess they will all work but I had trouble jamming some of the 20x18x10’s in the holes, and the smaller lengths feels better to me. I’ll let y’all know if they fall out at some point! (This is for my rear splash shield, as I just changed a parking brake cable….hell of a job!).

i guess its the depth....i think the rubber "well nuts" for the rear most attachments are the way to go but the front 6 oem....but thats just what im running after blowing the rear ones off after a giant puddle on hwy 1 ...i WANT them to blow off.....never removed the rear most ones for 7 years,,,ever.....but they were removed for me...the "well nuts " FAIRLY easy to remove...in theory it claims to be a 10mm hole

It could be slightly different with different gens. Mines 3rd gen. I found some missing on the front splash and used the same size…seems to be working well so far.
