Windshield Wipers Falling Off

I am constantly running into the issue of my front windshield wipers falling off while in use. I have tried Rainx, Michelin and the original and have had issues with all. Anyone else run into this?

Welcome. Are you installing the wiper blades, or is someone else?

Reason I ask: I have a procedure when it comes to installation.

After installing the blade, I'll apply moderate force to see if I can pull it off the wiper arm without releasing the clip.

If I can pull it off, I haven't installed it properly. I go back and make sure the little clip has engaged fully around the hook and try again.

I'm done only when I can't pull the blade from the arm without releasing the clip.

If someone else is doing the install, the same applies. The blade shouldn't be removable from the arm with the clip engaged.

We're assuming you're not talking about a salvage or rebuilt title vehicle. Sometimes those run into strange issues when metal is bent and then reworked into an approximation which doesn't work.

I would say they are not being installed properly from the start. I have two Fit's here and neither have had the blades just fall off or come loose. In the 10+ years of owning them at that.
