Cv shaft replacement

I’ve been reading that you have to drain the transmission oil when changing cv shafts on the previous generation because it will leak out when the old shaft is removed. I just did a transmission fluid change (CVT) so I’m hoping this isn’t true. Can someone enlighten me if this true for the third gen as well. Thinking about just jacking up one side at a time to prevent it? 🤷🏻‍♂️
