How often are you guys having to top off your coolant? Just checked my coolant level in my reserve tank on a cold engine and it was below the minimum level. I topped it off to max(just a lil over) and was curious to know how many miles you guys top it off on average? I had to change the thermostat and drain and refill the coolant like 8 months ago and have probably put on 20k miles running a tune with ktuner. I'm wondering if the tune is making it drink the coolant faster than normal. Oil looks good and no signs of a head gasket problem. Thanks Fit Freaks 🫡

 

Pretty much never. However my fluid was changed two years ago and for a couple months afterwards I had to repetitively top it off with small amounts as air pockets gradually worked their way out. I don't drive a lot so that probably dragged out the process.

 

Agreed with previous poster. Maybe you thought you were full after your change 8 months ago but weren't. How often do you look at the reservoir? Assuming you were full 8 months ago you should be full today. The cooling system is a closed loop.
