I'm getting my 75 dollar starter installed on Monday at my Honda Dealer.

I'm keeping my original Mitsuba starter and plan on having it rebuilt at a local starter rebuild shop.

It looks like an easy job to do, no? Just wondering for future reference, and yes, I get it that not everyone is a DIYer, or wants to especially in the winter or for lack of space.

 

Just got the 75 dollar starter installed. Starts great. And sounds strong when I start my Fit.




This is the original starter that was on my Fit. The service techs had to hack off this starter because it was was rusted on the engine block.

man....outtta luck.....yea no rebuilding the starter above...lol...that bolt is a TIGHT bugga,,,,small hands help and some band aids for the skinned knuckles,but if you can break the 2 bolts loose i'd say your 2 hrs away from finishing

Starter works great.

Fit starts strong.

No hiccups or clicking. No double or triple tapping the push start button to start the Fit. Starts right up on the first push.

I'll give a 6 month review of this 75 dollar D.B. Electrical starter. Good or bad and any issues or problems.

I was hoping to rebuild this starter. The shop had to hack off the old starter because it was corroded and stuck on the engine block.

My 75 dollar starter is still working great. No blips or hesitations when I push the start button. Starter sounds strong.
