HPS cold air intake question

I bought a cold air intake that also converts into a short ram intake from HPS. However, I was watching a little how-to on how to install it and I noticed that it’s in the fog light housing which is fine. My biggest fear is that I’ll accidentally water-lock my engine or something like that. In the video he uses the AEM intake with an AEM dust sock, unfortunately, HPS doesn’t have a dust sock. Do y’all think it’ll still be okay for me to run it? Has anyone else used this intake?

After Market Air Intakes.

They look pretty and scream performance.

The reality,

Just a waste of money and does nothing to improve performance.

They do add power. 3-5+ wheel HP is actually a power gain you can feel. When the car has under 130 hp stock. Plus most people like the intake sound and lifetime air filter at the very least.

So not a complete waste of money. I have one installed on my car. And I noticed the difference in sound and power in my 2018.

I wouldn't recommend bottom feed intakes just because of that. Just buy the short ram. Much safer in general. The power difference isn't that great to use one over the other. And short rams are much more protected.

Cat Back Exhaust System.

Money is better spent on getting a cat back exhaust system with a performance muffler. Borla, Flowmaster, Magnaflow.

Not sure who you are preaching to. But those performance gains are all about the same. Its all about your spending budget and what you want done with your project. Nothing more.
