Seat Creep... Nothing Ive Ever Experienced.

Hey guys. Before i tear my seat apart have any of you experienced your seat magically raising between each drive? The longer I'm away from it the higher it goes. I mean i have to down pump that thing at least 4-5 times each morning. Im hoping its an easy fit, but its hard to see what's going on under there. Thoughts?

Easy to take out, just four bolts and one or two connections IIRC. DC battery before hand as I believe their may be an SRS related sensor in the seat (yellow connector). If not you should be fine - had mine out for a thorough clean.

Thanks any idea whats the culprit, or is my seat the only one that slowly climbs while unattended?

Probably, Weird. Your seat is possessed. You better get an exorcist to expel the demon that is casuing it. Honestly, let us know what is the outcome.PossessedPossessed

what's that old story about a nasty husband who gradually shaves a tenth of an inch off his wife's chair legs, to convince her she's shrinking?

have you got a prankloving son or daughter around by any chance ... ? :P

no, I've never heard of a technical issue around this. but it certainly could be something! there has to be a spring under there, otherwise there is no way that wee lever could ratchet up a person with so little effort.

As mentioned above, my seat is going down. I suspect that I may push the lever slightly down when getting in and out of the car.

But lifting the seat up unintentionally is something I cannot explain.

Yes, mine creeps upwards with time. The longer it sits the higher she goes. Judging by everyone responses here I'm an oddity. Or I need to trade with someone who has phantom seat drop. lol.

Mine sinks. I just happened upon this, after noticing this week mine seems to need one or two pulls to raise it each time I get in. I assumed it was some type of ratchet but it must be hydraulic and leaks down. It has also been brutally hot here (95+) this week. Now I know I'm not crazy.
