I have seen a JDM rear bumper cover from a JAZZ on a 2015 Gen 3 FIT. Has anyone done it? And do you have a source? The Jazz cover does not have the step/lip that the Fit does and looks way cooler

 

American models of GK Fit have bulkier rear bumper, which I assume is due to peculiar US requirements. In the models for Japan and rest of Asia (where it is also called Fit) as well as in Jazzes for Europe, Africa and Australia the rear bumper is more sleek common GK design.

Therefore it is not only the cover, but also the structures behind it that is different.

Yes, GK means the model series, which is also called as the 3rd generation, and letters GK are part of the VIN.

 

Thank you for the clarification that Fits are called fits in Japan. The person who swapped the bumper covers also said he removed the steel beam behind the cover to jet the other JDM to fit (no pun)

 

That'll do the trick then. You have four continents to get a cover in right color and decent price.

 

I thought to check the VIN right after posting, and sure enough, GK was there.
