i am the owner of a fit 2016 DX trim (i bouth it in canada ) 1.5 ivtec dohc earthdream engine (so a 3rd gen fit/jazz with a 1.5)

i wonder what differenciate gk3 to gk5 ? for my quick understanding these are 3rd gen ... no?
also if i plan to install a hybrid racing shifter in a honda fit 2016 DX trim is it compatible ?

GK3 is with a 1.3-liter engine.

ho ok i always mix gk / 3rd gen ( in fit freak ) and gk3 , so in a sense my 2016 dx trim (in canada at least) come with a 1.5 dohc i vtec eathdream , it should make it a gk5

Yes, your Fit is GK5.

The DX trim from 2015 to 2020 was an entry level GK5 Fit sold I believe exclusively in Canada. It's a somewhat stripped down version designed to keep the cost down for entry level buyers in this country. It would have been manual transmission only. I don't think that they sold very many of this version.
