14 rims on 2018 FIT SPort questions
14 rims on 2018 FIT SPort questions
it seems that the SPort trim has larger calipers and perhaps other parts in the brake chain are a little larger thus making 14 inch rims on the Sport trim very difficult?
A couple of questions if anyone has the answers...
1. Can I swap a brake assembly from an LX/DX and put it in my sport and then have an easy time to put on a set of 14 inch rims?
2. Has anyone found a set of 14s that somehow fit the FIT sport? Pictures?

I just spent 30 seconds thinking about this mysterious S Port trim you speak of...
I have never driven a third generation Fit, but can't imagine that there would be any difference in the brakes between different trim levels. There certainly isn't in the older Fits. I just visited several websites listing specifications for the 2018 Fit and none of them suggest front brake differences for the different trim levels. But, if you have confirmation of different brake components across trim levels that would be interesting to see.
I know that 14-inch Civic alloy rims from the 1990s fit fine on my 2010 Fit Sport because I have some for my winter tires. As far as your car goes, the best option when questioning wheel fitment is to try to fit the wheel to your car. Barring that, if you have a specific wheel brand/model you're interested in you might want to include that in your question in hopes that someone will have tried it on a Fit.

I agree with @Drew21 regarding different brake hardware for different trims. I highly doubt Honda would've wasted resources on that.
With Civics, the only trims with different brake hardware are Si and Type-R. Fit isn't worth that kind of additional resources.
At least in the US, there were no trims equipped with 14" rims from the factory. LX had 15" and Sport/EX had 16", so there's no guarantee any 14" will fit.
According to TireRack, who guarantees fitment, there are ten 14" wheel designs that will fit:

Above list of ten did not change when I changed the trim to LX, so that indicates there are no brake hardware differences.
I imagine 14" wheels will have very tight brake caliper clearance, even if they work.

About 1/4" (7mm) clearance between the wheel and caliper.
The EX pretty routinely got the same larger front brakes as the Si, sometimes better. Case in point: the '90-91 EX sedan's 10.3" front brakes (pictured above) vs. the '88-91 Si hatch's 9.4".

2015 fit with 14" rims here....winter tires......soooo really 14" does NOT work.....i have ONE set of aftermarket 14" "mag" rims that work and one that doesnt...its just that tight....OD is what kills it...the brakes are just "bigger" so 14" not really a good option...and on a REAL case by case basis...but 14" DOES work!!!...probaly steelies would work universally...maybe! also i think EVERY 3g fit has the same brakes....and no one has heard of a S port...there were 3 models only in USA CA i believe
