I recently bought a 2020 fit and i went to look under the car and saw these on the transmission, its a manual. is this normal or are they cracks?

Definitely looks cracked. Maybe ask to get it replaced under warranty?

if not you can try and mark the cracks to see if they keep spreading. If you are game you could try and drill through the tips of the cracks to prevent them from spreading into the casing where you transmission would start to leak. The reasons why cracks spread is because the crack end is very sharp so the stress is highly concentrated. Only do this at your own risk though.

if you can’t get it replaced under warranty, you could try and find a junker transmission and swap out just the housing. A MT is surprisingly simple and easy to take apart. Should cost well under 400$ for a junkyard transmission.

 

Looks like casting artifacts to me. Maybe over-applied mold release compound that got squeezed into little rivulets by the molten aluminum rushing in. It's possible they're attached to structural casting defects, but I doubt it. You could try using a Dremel with a small coarse burr bit to grind away the surface features of the maybe-crack, then clean it up to see if there's a crack below the surface.

 

Those are casting marks, it is NOT cracked. You'll find them on just about any mass produced vehicle
