Welcome, Mimi-kun! Thanks for making us all jealous ;-)
I would love to have the choice of getting a hybrid Fit. (Although, I think it's not a cvt-hybrid, but rather a dct-hybrid. (Honda Develops New Lightweight and Compact Hybrid System Named )
I really like the LED headlight assemblies. Obviously power saving, better for hybrid efficiency. Better for maintenance, and they look great.
Looking forward to your day to day experience with this car. Are you seeing many of them on the street yet?

I'm really liking the RS dials too, totally different to mine. I've got a rev counter that pops up when I press S mode but not a permanent one

Hey, thanks! I'm loving your RS, would really love to have gotten one but the wallet wouldn't allow it, my mrs is always at me about fuel so it wasn't an option.

the Hybrid meter panel looks much better! (>_<)
cost of RS was not much more than the Hybrid (and I think the S pack you got maybe more expensive than RS!) but the fuel economy of the RS is not as good... but for me I would gladly trade a lot less economy for more power so the economy of the RS was no problem.
I would also prefer the DCT over the CVT transmission but was concerned about reliability and problems of the DCT. When we got the RS there hadnt been any recalls on the DCT cars yet but VW had so many issues I didnt want to risk it.

Does it literally/real world get 85 mpg?? If so, that is so insanely higher than any hybrid sold in the U.S. The best we have is the Prius/Prius C rated at about 50 mpg although you can easily get 60-65 mpg in the Prius C.

I don't think so:
Kilometers/Liter to Miles/Gallon (US) Conversion Calculator
That's some crazy mileage. Although, who knows what EPA will set it at here. Anyone know what the Prius is rated at in Japan so we can compare to US figures?

The Japanese mileage test produces some crazy numbers because it's pretty much the ideal case.
What does the Prius PHEV mileage really mean on the JC08 cycle?
What does the Prius PHEV mileage really mean on the JC08 cycle?
While the numbers from JC08 are indeed lower than the old 10-15 results, they are still wildly inflated. For example, the 2010 Prius is rated at 89.4 mpg (U.S.) on 10-15 a number that will typically only be seen by people like Wayne Gerdes, founder of CleanMPG.com. On the JC08 test, the Prius is rated at a "mere" 76.7 mpg (U.S.). The EPA ranks the same car at just 50 mpg combined, a number in line with what most regular drivers will achieve.

only thing to really do is to compare one car to another on the same tests.

Which means in that case the JC08 test overstates the mpg by 53.4%
If that holds true for the Fit and JC08 rates that at 85.6 mpg, EPA rating in the US would be around 55.8 mpg. Better than the current Prius in the US but the new Gen 4 Prius coming any time now should be rated around 55 mpg.
But the great thing about a Fit hybrid would be MPGs and price around what a Prius C costs with a lot more useable passenger and trunk space!
