Just until they actually start showing up at dealers.

Check also Automotive News article this week. And behind the news:
Startup has been slow as expected but there were issues with assembly due to insufficiently trained assembly techs which is why supplies to dealers dropped to early June. That is still in question. There have been more detailed quality checks due to some supplier issues. Honda remains confident that the fulll production schedule will be reached by Thanksgiving. Mexican railway scheduling has also been a factor.
Honda is faring no worse than other manufacturers in Mexico: ours found 20% of the items rejected for a year after startup.
Knowing Honda reliance on quality engineering and assembly you needn't fear your new 2015 Fit will be up to Hondas standards. Its their product development attitude I am a little worried. They are falling behind their Japanese competitors but still ahead of European, including MB.

while i am very eager to test drive a new Fit (especially to compare LX with EX) as soon as it's available I will wait til probably next year to buy an actual car. The dust needs to be settled first. I am fortunate that I can wait that long. My 09 is still in great shape.

With all the info about the quality check delays I am getting more and more skeptical about buying a 2015. Im nervous about recalls, or problems the new Fit might have. I don't want to have to deal with all the dealer excuses if the new car has multiple problems.

This is better than letting the cars out then having to take back to dealer, Honda is trying to make sure they are as carefree as possible when they release them. Supposedly the issues were corrected on the first cars and now the line is moving along well. Only real difference is Honda told you about the delays. GM on the other hand waits till its to late.

I ordered a new 15, I am not concerned but that is just me.
