(First Post) New Fits in the Philadelphia Area!
Hello all! I'm Christina. New member, first post.
Today, after much research and thinking with my dad, we purchased a 2015 Fit in that super bright yellow, and I cannot wait for it to come in. Quite a step up from my '96 Maxima.
We purchased from Piazza Honda in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and they had already sold 2 Fits that were on the lot.
Seems like the 2015 Fit has made it to the general Philadelphia area.
So when it comes to my own, the seller told me he'd know by Monday, June 2nd at 2:00 where within the area he's located a yellow Fit so he can make the trade and have it on the lot for me. So I should be driving away with it within the next week or so, I can't wait!
Anyhoo, you all seemed like eager and loyal customers, so I thought I'd let you know what the deal-io is within the Philly area for the new Fit.

Congratulations! And welcome to the forum.
It would indeed be a great find, if your dealer secures you a Mystic Yellow Pearl Fit. I have yet to see any of these show up as part of the regular production. I suspect that if one is available it would be a preproduction car with a very low serial number. Please let us know the VIN when you get it and by all means post some pictures. In the mean time make a few more posts, because I may be mistaken, but I think you have to have made 5 posts before you can post pictures.

It is true that it is just a presale for Christina but she also said the dealership had just sold two 2015 fits (i'm assuming they were 2015's) just before she pre ordered. In that case they have arrived in that city which is good news for the rest of us waiting.

I find it a little disturbing that you call a new member basically a liar, she was at the dealership, were you? How do you know none came in? A tat rude.

I appreciate the backup.
It's true! Mine was just a presale. But the dealer (Al something or other) came out and said they were sold. He can't lie about that and I can't think of a think of a reason why I would want to. :P
He also gave me a window of only 3-5 days for my new one to be ready to pick up (starting Monday). Like I said before, I'll keep y'all updated (probably here and the new "Fit Sightings" thread).

You're right, could be. Just wanted to tell y'all what they'd told me.
Plus, unless he's a super good actor (which he could be) he seemed take off guard that they were sold.
Lemme tell ya what happened. We came in after getting prices from 2 other dealers and asked about a price on a 2015. "We have them here!" He says, and takes us back to get ready for a test drive.
He came back all winded with a red face and told us they were actually gone.
So either he wasn't updated on the inventory, or maybe he was. But he's giving me quite a small window to stick to.
I guess I'll find out soon.

Here is a dealer in Texas offering a 2015 fit with a $489 discount.
New 2015 Honda Fit For Sale | Rockwall TX
Now, I never really believe an advertised price until the deal is done. For all I know this could be one of those dealers that charges a $699 documentation fee or requires that you pay $499 for paint sealant.
MSRP with a $200 or less documentation fee, is probably a fair price during the first few months, until there are more cars available. After that, the deal you get depends on how informed you are, how good a negotiator you are and how anxious the dealer is to move a car. It is incredible to me, but many people are so uniformed, they don't even know what they paid for a car, even after they have signed all the paperwork and taken on the debt of a car loan or a lease.

Yes mine was MSRP + 750 Destination fee, and a $130 document fee for the EX. It was non-negotiable...
But honestly, with an econobox that is going to be in high demand, good luck with negotiating anything significant for at least the first year.
