Missed deadlines....Little to no marketing.....Dealerships can't give a straight answer because they're as confused as the potential customers.....website updates......What website updates?........

Well, they could do it like some other manufacturers, meeting the deadlines and then having massive recalls and lawsuits over defective products.

Something happened that Honda is keeping close to the vest, something severe enough to keep cars away from dealers until the entire manufactured fleet could be fixed.

I'm not too sure that I want one of those initial production cars which have been sitting out in the sun for months, possibly next to salt water.

Absolutely! I so wanted this car, and I'll be lucky if I can get one. Two months plus?!

Still hoping, but now committed to a one way rental NY to FL with the stuff we want to take, so won't need a big cargo space when we get there.

And we know we like the Focus, but wouldn't do it without a manual.

Mazda 3 is a good car, but won't get the MPG the Fit gets. Have been following edmunds.com with the car they have. It's a big 4 with auto tranny and they are getting high 20's combined. I liked the styling of the past versions of the 3 hatch, but the new one is kinda strange to me.

Looked at the Mazda 3 it reminds me of the Jaguar coupe of the early ' 70s. It's not a Honda.
The first thing Honda could have labeled my new Fit a '14 model.
They could have made one simple change-a fold down driver arm rest.
Not everyone appreciates the Fit's mystique. Maybe Honda doesn't "get it" either.

I drove the Mazda 3 and really liked it; it was actually my other car option (after driving 6 similar cars!) that I was seriously considering. For the money though, the Fit has the same features for less. I drove the mid-tier Mazda 3 hatch, and MSRP was 21k (I managed to get a "Final price" of 17,500 and that was after getting a couple of dealers to underbid each other). The BASE fit has even more options for much less money. Plus, I'm small, and even the 3 seemed a bit big for me.

Yes, it was the iTouring in a manual trans. It pretty much had everything the fit did, minus the backup camera and plus a few extras, like leather wrapped stuff. It was really fun to drive. If you are interested, message me and I can give you the dealer contact I talked to.

I liked the last gen Mazda 3. The new one feels like the steering is numb, visibility is down, CVT with fake shift points.

The new Mazda 3 has a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission, not a CVT. For me, I really prefer the new version to the smiley faced older one. And have been considering it instead of the Fit. I only wish it had the same seat down cargo capacity of the Fit.

The new Mazda 3 has not been selling well, and I expect some manufacturer/dealer incentives to arrive soon.
