I saw over 100 new Fits yesterday.
I was driving my 2012 Fit back from a kayaking event in N.Portland, when I went right by Honda's big shipping/receiving facility at 6399 N Marine Dr
Portland, OR 9720. I looked at the lot and saw well over a hundred 2015 Fits, but wasn't sure if they were arriving or departing and sadly forgot to take a picture...

My dealer in Middletown Rhode Island received one EX Thursday or Friday had a deposit on it and it was driven away..never got to see it....She, sales person, said should be anytime....called a dealer in Massachusettes, getting a delivery sonn will call when they arrive.
Ports along the Columbia river tend to export raw materials (grain) out of the heartland to Asia and Portland receives new cars from Asia because it's an inland port far away from corrosive salt water spray. There are special enclosed ships just for cars that come up behind you really fast when you're kayaking out there... They typically load received cars onto trains or trucks, depending on volume and distance to the dealers. It's possible these Fits came in by train, offloaded, and parked in neat rows for more local distribution, since it makes sense these were Mexican made Fits for the Nafta region. I still have a feeling they came in by ship because it's more cost effective and wouldn't they just divvy them up onto trains in Mexico going to specific states. IDK...

I thought rail transport of autos has been hurting recently because so much rail usage is being diverted to oil shale from the northern plains, leaving auto manufacturers scrambling to deliver. I also think these Fits came by sea.
All Mexico assembled Fits leave the factory by rail. One train goes to a Mexico Pacific port for ship transport to US West coast ports. One train goes to a Mexico Gulf port for ship transport to 3 US East coast ports. And two trains go north, one entering the US at Lorado, Texas and one through another Texas border city.
