How Popular?

Go visit your local Honda dealer and see how many are sitting on the lot… then if there are any, ask how long they tend to sit before being sold. That oughtta answer your question!
That said (tongue in cheek, of course), supplies continue to be constrained. On a recent ~2,000 mile trip, I saw exactly two GK Fits (besides mine), both on a college campus.

I only noticed the new Fit about a week before I bought mine. I totaled my car about a month ago and was looking to buy a used car. I then saw a new Fit drive through a parking lot where I was at while I had my rental and it was love at first sight! I went to my Honda dealer a few days later after my research and bought one.
I have yet to see another 2015 Fit on the road since buying mine. While I was at the dealer with mine, I think they only had 6 on hand. Guess that could be the reason?

At my dealership, they only have two LXs. At other dealership, they only have a handful of Fits.

I worked at a Honda dealer from June to November, and we could hardly keep them on the lot. I honestly think the most we had at one time would be 4, including the one in the showroom. I know we had to dealer-trade a bunch of other cars just to get them to our customers. For mine, we traded a Pilot EX-L to a dealer 250 miles away!
Honestly, the longest I've seen them on the lot or in showroom is probably 2.5 weeks. The showroom models do have quite a few accessories on them though, which doesn't really help. All of them get bodyside moldings, pinstripe, 3M hood protect, and now aftermarket tint, the last two being the only ones I would want.

It's a new model, many millions of other cars on the road and only a few thousand new Fits across the country (its a big country you know) have been sold, so of course you will not see many in one location. Does not mean a darn thing.

Inventory is getting better than it was in May of June of this year. We were calling all over the State looking for the " Passion Berry Pearl ", that my Daughter wanted. We called a dealer in Jackson TN, who it turned out just received one that day, and went that night to purchase it. Even yellow is easier to find now, than it was last month. I suspect by the first of next year, you will be able to find them all the time, both on the dealer lot, and the road.

2015 Honda Fit popularity drives sales record for November
The reason you're not seeing tons of them is because availability. They've only been coming in fits and starts... so to speak.

I see a decent amount of EX's on the road here in Oregon, at school, work and everywhere else. I think there are 2 on the lot at the dealership I pass on the way to school, not sure about trim level because I only see the front as I drive by. The first one I saw in person was at the post office in June and I bought mine in September.

Don't worry, they'll be more common soon.

Factors that have to be taken in consideration to see another Fit
1. How many sold in your area
2. How many are on the same road you drive on
3. How many on the same road at the exact same time you drive
4. How many you actually missed by looking in another direction or texting at time it appeared.
5. How many are actually parked at work/home

I have seen 4 of them here in the last month. I read they are selling more than they can make, and Fit is expected to outsell the Civic at this rate. I got mine the second week of July. Supposedly, it was the first week they were for sale here.

Maybe we should rename this thread "Fit Sightings…" (c:
I saw two GKs in town this past week. I'm so used to only seeing my EX with the LX black trim and minilite-style wheels, that I did a double-take when I saw another stock EX…

I live in Montréal, Canada, and I see a new generation Fit every two days or so. It seems to sell quite well, for comparison, I haven't seen any 2015 yaris (facelift version) yet, but I guess they are stell trying to sell the remaining 2014.

From what I have heard, the Yaris is about as lame as they come. (I have never driven one) Might take a long time to sell them all.

I looked on my dealers website and they have production number 62359, based on VIN. I think they have 14 in stock now. That averages out to over 1200 per state. I know it is not accurate per state since CA would have more than MT. I have seen about 5 that I noticed in St. Louis area.
