Wow that would be great if they have actually taken delivery of those two 2015 Fits.
I know that in some cases dealers will have Vin#'s and other info on cars they have ordered that have not yet arrived.
Back a few years ago when I ordered my 2011 Mustang I saw a invoice with several other cars my dealer ordered for there stock but my car was not included.
I did a custom order with certain deletes and 3.73 gears on a base 5.0
would be cool if someone in that area could swing by the dealer and take a look!!!

If they aren't there, surely they'll be in a couple of weeks. Mexico is river away from Texas.

My post is not about Fits at all, but do you know if you still do stuff like this with the new ones if you order one?
On topic:
Someone should go down there if they're delivered this month and check it out for sure when they get in if it's this month delivery. Take one for the team and test drive, post a review.

Fits are always potential for that "pocket-rocket" mystic. Looks at what guys are doing to their wheels on the GD and GE threads!!!!!

some dealers will want some type of commitment so they don't get stuck with a car that is hard to sell if you back out of the deal.
back OT, I have to get use to the Fit's coming from Mexico and not Japan.
I don't have a problem with it, just so use to seeing the cars come off the ships in Long Beach/San Pedro
Texas and Cali should see the 2015's real soon.I'll keep my eyes open for any that might pop up at my local dealers.

The salesman I am working with at the local Honda dealer told me that also - the VIN is issued before the car arrives.
As for dealers already listing Fits, our local Subaru dealers have been doing that for at least the last couple of years or so, but they at least say "In Transit" on the listings for the vehicles that have not actually arrived yet.
Some dealers are just plain lazy about posting complete/accurate info...

My dealer rep called an hour ago and told me 2 Fits coming in Friday. Both are EX-L black interior, without the in-dash Nav system, but of course with the HondaLink. Dealer told me he has unlimited data on his cell phone and uses a lot of data on the Honda he has (Civic) but I do not and not willing to increase my plan, so I will take a test drive, than opt for the in-dash Nav system instead.

I should have know better; you don't get "exclusive updates" ….
All you get is spam from your local dealer… the nearest zip code dealer that I don't deal with…

You'll get a "First Look" at the car on the lot

My "first Fit look" was vicarious.
Warning: Stream of Consciousness Follows:
We're looking for something to replace SWMBO's 97K hubby-doesn't-wanna'-mess-with-it-anymore 2003 CR-V. It'll be her car so she has "Rights of First Acceptance/Refusal." She saw the JDM Fit-o last fall while visiting her parents in Japan, and while she didn't come back raving about it, at least she didn't totally reject it.
On the other hand, I'm not overly impressed with either of the new versions of CR-V or the RAV-4. Different type of vehicle from the Fit…. she likes the elevated driving position of the compact SUVs… hence my high hopes for the elevated Fit… now aka the HR-V. Being Japanese, Kia and Hyundai are unacceptable.
Whatever we choose will serve as a seldom-used second car… and I want to get her into something smaller (read, less expensive). Our 2010 hatchback Prius serves as our "trip" car.
'Couple more days and maybe they'll let us actually touch one.
