You have "seen the light", just like I did when I got my '08 GD. I guarantee you won't regret this decision. Even if you do, your family will flush you down if you change you mind...

Simple.
If you don't mind my asking what do you do for a living, Brian? I'm curious because you said you might occasionally pick up a client. Thanks.

I would be willing to spend $50k or more for a car that can do all these things. But there are not many choices of cars that can do all of what a Fit can do, while still providing the fuel efficiency, reliability and fun to drive that the Fit does. I have always maintained that the Fit is one of the best engineered cars in the world, in terms of all the various systems working well together to create a car that is as efficient as the Fit is.

It does not offer M/T, but it does all other things and offers ~42mpg combined.

I agree, I got very excited about the the CT200h when it first came out a few years ago and went to the Lexus dealer to check it out when they got their first one in. I was really disappointed in how much less cargo capacity it provided compared to my Fit. (30 cubic feet vs 57 cubic feet)

I went back to the Lexus dealer recently to take another look, because I really like the F sport package on the 2014s. I sat in the car and liked the looks, the fit and the feel of the interior. Then I went for a test drive and was less impressed with the acceleration and connection to the road feel of the driving experience. Nevertheless, I have continued to consider the CT200 h because I like its looks and Lexus reliability. If it could only provide the same utility as the Fit, I MIGHT, consider giving up the manual transmission, but that would be a hard thing to give up for me.

I wish that there was an Acura version of the Fit. That provided a bit more luxury and exclusivity while retaining the Fit's utility. I would gladly pay CT200 pricing for a Fit that matched the Lexus on those counts.

low cost of ownership. good fuel economy, maintenance is reasonable, wear & tear items are cheap, and depreciation over 5 yrs averages out to only abt 1.5k per year. can't find a better combination of high utility and low cost.

All around great car and also fun (not sporty -- fun). When I say great I just mean everything about it is easy -- maintenance, mileage, getting in and out, cargo space, throwing stuff in the back, seats going up and down, etc. You buy this thing and you never worry about your ride.

I am likely to buy a '15 Fit because Toyota decided not to import the current-generation bB to the US as the Scion xB, instead sticking Americans with the fat, uneconomical Rumion. 24MPG ain't it!

I need a new car and the Fit comes closest to the first generation xB in cargo and rear-seat passenger room.

For me ----

1. Unmatched reliability
2. Excellent fuel economy (Going to save me ~= $700 per year vs my 05' Accord)
3. Versatile cargo space
4. High resale value
5. Compact size for easy parking in the city
