LX vs EX Speakers/Audio System
Hoping to buy a new Fit soon and still trying to decide between the LX and EX. I'm leaning towards the LX for several reasons, but one small detail that's holding me back is the lack of tweeters/only four speakers on the LX.
I haven't been able to even so much as test drive a 2015 Fit yet because they're selling so quickly, so I haven't played with the audio system in either car, let alone been able to compare. For those of you that own an LX, are you happy with the sound system?

Not bad
Hello and welcome Guacamole!
LX audio is not bad. Definitely not a high quality system though. Sounds a little muffled but as you mentioned, probably because the lack of the tweeters. Decent Mid's and Lows.
Other than that, I am loving the fact that the Bluetooth seamlessly connects to my Android or my Wife's Iphone. Also, the USB functionality is great since I can just leave my 32GB drive in the car with all my music on it. I know its the same for the EX but still a lot more features than I was expecting to get out of a base model.

Thanks for the reply! That's sort of what I was expecting in terms of quality. Honestly though, I'm currently driving a '94 Honda Accord and although it has six speakers I'm listening to music through an audio connector that runs through the cassette player, so I'm used to things sounding a little muffled.

One thing I asked in another thread (but didn't get an answer): does anyone who has an LX know if the places where the tweeters would go are already there? I.e. are there cavities (ideally with electrical connections already in place) available for an easy installation?

whoa whoa! You guys are telling me the 15 Fit actually has tweeters? I coulda swore I read somewhere that tweeters weren't on the 15 Fit across the trims, and I was kinda disappointed about that because I know the previous gen Fits have tweeters.
So .... the EX models really have em? Cuz if they do I'm super excited!

Thanks, ADV! It's good to know that there are at least tweeter covers already in place. Hmm, I wonder what that grey ring is--perhaps a way to access the wires in the black tube? I'm guessing you can tap into the wires there somehow to install tweeters, though it would take someone more experienced than me to figure that out.
