LX vs EX sound systems

How much better is the EX 6-speaker system over the LX 4-speaker system? Are we talking just a marginal difference? Or leaps and bounds better?

EX has the front tweeters on the dash. The system is "ok" for an economy car, depending on your tastes and needs.

Agreed, plus I think the radios have different wattage but let's be honest they are stock sounds systems on the budget model.

Not leaps and bounds better. I had everything in my 2015 replaced with Infinity speakers: coaxials in the back and component in the front. No subwoofer for me as I need the space for hauling drums. Also had a tiny amplifier installed in the dash.

That made a world of difference. Also suggest getting sound deadener for the doors.

I don't know that you'll get many authoritative replies. Probably lots of replies about upgrading the speakers in either the EX or LX. (My experience is that upgrading speakers on the LX makes a huge difference.) But, the only way to compare the different sound systems is to spend time driving both models. You might ask someone who works at a Honda dealership, and has access to both models regularly.

But, I can already guess what they would say...

My son tested out a LX & then a EX specifically to test the radios. According to Sonny the EX is much better. My old ears could not tell much difference.

I can't speak of the difference, due to only having listened in my LX, but ......back speakers in the LX don't do a lot of anything, seems muddy....dunno if the speakers are different, or they're the same and the wiring is different, but....sitting in the back of the LX, only high frequencys I hear are coming from the front, but......it's OK...I don't ride back there, and am not an audiophile anymore
