iPod Input Controls on Display Audio Screen?

Hi everyone,

When an iPhone/iPod is connected via USB to any of the slots, is the play and pause button accessible on the 7inch touch screen? I know it shows up when using BT. It would be great to just plug in my iPhone and leave it in the arm rest storage without having to take it out to pause a song real fast. I prefer to use the USB slot since album artwork and a song progress bar are active when this input is used vs. just using the bluetooth. Thanks for your time!

Yes I believe it is. While playing hit the button right below the control buttons and I think it pulls up scan pause etc

I checked on mine and I only see touch screen controls for next track and previous track.

This is on the screen that displays the artist, song and title.

I have resorted a few times to asking Siri to pause the music.

I feel like whoever designed the UI was running out of time and left out a lot of basic functionality.

I would be cooler with that if I knew Honda would be putting out firmware updates but that seems highly unlikely.

I am getting the impression that this is the exact same head unit in the 14 Civic and they made no effort to address complaints that have been around since that came out.

Yea Bluetooth has the play pause buttons. I use both a USB thumb drive and have connected my iPod, both have no play pause button on screen. Bummer really. I like to leave my USB thumb drive in rather than my iPod cuz I don't wanna resort to using iTunes, but gosh I dunno how the radio reads my USB cuz all the songs, artists, and albums aren't in any coherent order.
