Test drove early June. They said they had the one I wanted on the way, due end of June. 1st week of July they say "any day now" then start ignoring me completely.
Call another dealer that's getting the one I want, they are much more honest and up front. Deposit made 2nd week of July, car purchased that same week.
So how long I waited ranges from 1 month to a week, depending how you look at it.

Southwestern CT,
Dealership called me 6/20/14 to test drive a black EX CVT. Loved the car but wanted a manual, put $100 bucks down. Nearly two months to the day, took delivery of my car this past Monday 7/18/14. To me well worth the wait. I'm officially the first EX manual tranny sale for the dealership. The only other manual was an LX for them
I feel for the people who have not gotton theirs yet. I had dug deep into the Honda logistics program only to find a lack of integration with their rail & car carriers over the road. No visibility at all other than what dealers thought they ordered, no delivery schedule sheet...and if there was any its the worth of toilet paper.

Dunedin (Clearwater) FL.
Called dealer in advance of closing and move from NYC and put deposit on a car. Got the call my car had arrived while we were in transit from NY to FL on Wednesday 6/25. Arrived FL 6/26 and bought the car, with pickup that Saturday, also 6/28.
Red EX CVT - exactly what I wanted (well, I would have liked the yellow but that wasn't an option, and I do love the red) exactly when I wanted and needed it!

Car shopping in Montana:
Test drove a Red Ex-L Navi (Red) in my home town 2 weeks ago, I could have bought that one on the spot had I wanted it. Not a huge fan of red and with 2 dogs, I really was not wanting the leather seats. Called around to other nearby Honda dealerships and found a Blue EX (the model I wanted) about 3 hours away. Not yet in (of course, right?) and they say they have been invoiced for the car.
The only thing is I'm feeling very skeptical about when it will actually come. I put a deposit on the car last week. I also sold my current car and am using a loaner car in the mean time.
Got a call today that the dealership I bought the car from, got a Silver EX in, but not my bluey
So now I wait and hope that because they have been invoiced for August (at least my hubs, who used to work in the car industry seems to say/believe that it is illegal for dealerships to be invoiced if they aren't actually getting the car soon)..... just playing the waiting game here.
