correct usage of eco button?
ECON test results
I just posted some ECON button test results in a new thread. AC was off, MPG increased by about 10%.

This thread discusses why the Fit indicates you are out of fuel when you actually have two gallons left. It is damaging to run the car all the way down to zero gallons, because all the crud at the bottom of the gas tank will get sucked up into the engine and clog things up.

.....
The question for me, someone who has pretty consistent travel habits, is if I get two weeks out of a tank of gas without eco, how many more days could I go with eco engaged full time. For me it always seems to come down to how long I got to avoid gasing up. Great real time avg numbers is one thing, but it doesn't always add up to making a tank last longer, oddly enough.

It will make the largest impact on city driving because everytime you accelerate from a stop, the dulled throttle response will encourage you to accelerate more slowly, saving gas. The ECON button also reduces the energy requirements of the AC system, so the ECON button will always save gas when you are running the AC, regardless of driving conditions.
