Cool Hope to get a 2015 soon...

Hi everyone,

I have been doing some homework on cars and the Fit has been in the running. Really came down to a Prius C or the Fit...I do care about gas mileage, but not over the fun I think I would get driving the Fit.

Test drove a grey Fit yesterday and while that was not a color I had in mind, it looks nice in person. And the car drive was fun. Drove the EX CVT version as I don't need/want leather and nav...that is what GPS and Iphones are for.

So the cars are moving pretty fast off the lots in the area. They had 4 of them last week and now just two of them, both grey/white. The dealer told me they don't know when more a coming....Thoughts? I told him we were not going to buy yesterday and I purposely did not bring my car to trade in and only told folks it was for sale yesterday...typical dealer BS to get me back in...? I was hoping to wait til the end of next month to have more saved for the deposit, but maybe I should not wait? Also kinda wanted the red one...

I have the red, but the modern steel was a close second choice. They do move fast, so if you really want one, you should probably move on it. Get carpets with red in them!

Demand is high and available inventory is low. If you are in the market for 2015 Fit right now and want to take advantage of current financing offers, it's best not to wait as you may end up waiting a while to get exactly what you want.

Just look at incoming inventory online on dealer sites or work with one dealer if they are giving you a good deal. It's a big, long term purchase so wait for the one you really want! Also worth it to drive pretty far if it gets you the one you want as they will be extremely scarce and limited for a while!

Here are a couple examples of Milano Red Honda Fit's (EX/CVT) that are within 50 miles of Placerville CA., 95667 There were 7 more, all within 100 miles of your location). They were listed on "cars.com" (using advanced search feature). Keep in mind they may not be on the dealer lot, but only in transit. However, they both have the VIN # listed, which is a good sign they may actually be assigned to the dealer. I would call each dealer and see what the inventory status is. If they are on the lot, you might consider a deposit to hold the car. They do go fast!

Lodi Honda
1700 S Cherokee Ln
Lodi, CA 95240
Sales: (866) 980-8240
Exterior Color: Milano Red
Interior Color: Black
VIN: 3HGGK5H89FM717052
Stock #: 22938

University Honda
4343 Chiles Road
Davis, CA 95618
Sales: (866) 980-5652
Exterior Color: Milano Red
Stock #: 23190
VIN: 3HGGK5H89FM722137

I also like the Modern Steel version, due to the contrast between the red brake lights and the dark grey body color, and it was also a close second choice for me. Having said that, 1n 1995 I purchased a red Volvo 850, and in 2008 a red Honda Fit (first generation), that I sold to get my daughters Passion Berry Pearl 2015 Fit, last month. So both are good colors!

************Just noticed you already purchased the Fit, so NEVERMIND****************

Congrats... I have a silver EXL non nav, and while I've never been a fan of red on cars (except Ferrari of course!) the red EXL I saw on the dealer lot a few weeks back was something I could have totally seen myself in. It really is a greatcolor on the Fit.

Hi This is my first post. Congrats on getting the Fit you wanted.
I just put deposit down Tues a black fit LX. I drove the EX auto, drives nice, even on highway. I did not like the key idea and push button start so the LX is for me. I am going from a Race Red 2012 Mustang V6 convertible to the Fit. I use car for transportation rather than cruising, only put 11K miles on Mustang in the 18 months I had it.
One of the first things I plan to do is have windows tinted, has anyone here done that? I do keep track of gas mileage, Mustang got 20.9 MPG with mostly city driving. Am curious to see what the Fit gets. I am 69 so probably older than most folks on this site. Have had 4 corvettes (62,66,76,79) a 70 VW Karmen Ghia, and 2 Miata's 2006 and 2001. The last 5 VIN digits on the fit I bought end in 22335 which I guess is build sequence
I look forward to comments on the new fit. Best regards, Bill
