Can you add paddle shifters to LX?

Does anyone know if you can add them and for what cost? I've been enjoying driving the LX more than I thought and didn't care for the shifters before, but now I kinda want it! Although I could still live with just using the S and L gears

Source for used 2015 Fit parts

I don't know what kind of job retro-fitting the paddle shifter system to a LX CVT Fit would be, but it is almost definitely possible given enough OEM parts. The problem would be to keep the parts affordable. Going to the dealer and ordering new OEM parts would probably kill the project, cost-wise.

Getting good condition used parts would probably keep the parts cost affordable (but still not $1.95).... If you look on Ebay, searching 2015 Honda Fit, you will find the same seller offering some gently used parts. Currently they have an engine, a power assist steering motor (the P/S assist is electric) and a EX radio head unit........ These are all off one of the IIHS early crash test cars. The seller is a wrecking yard in Virginia that gets lots of cars from those crash tests. Yes the parts are off a wrecked car, but they won't have many miles on them. The cars weren't driven into the ground, only into a wall.

If you were to contact the seller and tell them what you wanted to do, they might be able to put together a package group of parts for you, without you actually knowing exactly which individual pieces you need.

Good luck with a great project.

The issue is whether the transmission and engine control unit is the same for the LX and EX models. If it is, all you have to do is plug in the required switches (perhaps from a wrecker) and you're off to your Walter Mitty F1 experience.

If the control unit is different, the job will be a lot more involved.
