WHOA! Great choice! I've never seen CE Club Racers, I feel that I've failed myself and the world.

he remove 3lbs off each rotor. i remember looking at the car at nationals in topeka. each one of the outer holes had cracks going between them... f that. lol....

Hollis is a great driver, was he using those rotors on the ST Civic? The aluminum top hatted rotors I was referring to is what Chris Dorsey uses on his Corolla. Dorsey's rotors were also drilled out about as much as Hollis's rotors, so I'm sure they were easily under 10 pounds. Question for Spoon, and I've asked about this in another thread... Are you prototyping a rear sway bar for the Spoon Build, and if so maybe you'd be able to answer if the rear spring seats are dimensionally the same as the GE8's, I'm just wondering if a rear sway bar made for the GE8 will fit on a GK chassis?

We'll be using prototype Spoon Full Spec Dampers. Similar to the ones on the GE Fit but the top mounts are slightly different on the GK.

I'll take the second set! Can send money tonight

The springs look to be the same shape as the GE8 but the heights may be different so lowering springs might not be interchangeable.

This is how short the rear bumper is. It's nearly flush with the rear hatch.

Do you happen to know how much those seats weigh?

12.5lbs a piece for you weight conversion challenged people (Ahem me).

Thank you for this information. My rear seats are relatively heavy. I have not removed the passenger seat for testing. Couldn't use my scales to weigh as they are a bit off. Will hit-up post office. I imagine how much weight you'd save removing all the seats and adding on only 25lbs of seat-weight (Not including rail weight).

Very impressive mods. But it needs your duracon knob to make it complete. :thumbups:

I'll have to respectfully disagree with that and believe it needs the discontinued Spoon Ti shift knob that I will be installing. But as for current available knobs then yes the 6 speed duracon is a good second choice.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with your disagreement. :rotfl:
Have had mine on my CRX for years, and it's the best knob I've ever used. Metal gets too damn hot. :hyper:

The Spoon Caliper weighs in at 5lbs vs the factory at 10lbs. However, the Spoon rotor is bigger to work with the Spoon Twin-Block Caliper and it's not drilled so it's heavier than the stock one at 12.9 lbs vs 11.25 for the stock rotor. Overall, there is still a significant reduction in unsprung weight with a big increase in braking efficiency.

I also forgot to add that I'm running 14" wheels and am looking for rotors that are lighter than stock that would fit inside 14" wheels. That is a LOT to ask for since rotors are generally upgraded to provide better braking power and are thus made larger in diameter.

any updates on progress?

You could get rotors from Brembo, they may be able to match the specs of the Fit's rotors to an aluminum top hatted cross drilled rotor. Wouldn't be the first time that has happened. But maybe the first time for the new Fit ;)
