(Yes, that's a JDM rear bumper that's shorter and nearly flush with the rear hatch.)

I am very excited about this! I will be following you guys as this progresses.

I still remember my younger days as an enthusiast and able to go with Spoon/Opak to Thunder hill 25 Endurance.

Please keep us updated, esp on the spring rates and coil over setups.

YES!! I'm excited for this build!

Can you post a full list of mods that will be going on the car?

Does the JDM bumpers swap right on? Did it need different reinforcement bars? Does the front bumper fit as well - or does it require new fenders/headlamps?

I'm guessing those are the high end Spoon dampers with Swift springs, rather than the less expensive Spoon/Showa shock/spring kits?

You got jokes!

I'm only interested in the power mods myself.

We will be building the car with endurance racing in mind so the most important aspects are braking and handling. This is where the race is won so this is where most of the upgrades will be. Power isn't as important as efficiency so there will only be a few engine mods because the anything significant will require more fuel. Aero efficiency is also important so increasing downforce isn't as important as reducing drag, which is one reason we're going with JDM bumpers. The Spoon philosophy isn't making giant leaps but the culmination of small improvement to enhance, not change, the existing "feel" of the car. Keep in mind this is a development car so many of the parts are prototypes or simply used for testing so thing might not make sense at first glance. The addition of production parts will depend greatly on the aftermarket demand for this generation fit.

We have just started testing the bumpers. But so far so good. We'll report back when we've gone through it.

Yes, it's a public meet/gathering so everyone is welcome. We'll have other things on display other than just the Fit.

We have a set of GE8 Aero Mirrors we'll be trying out.

The list of mods is very long. It'll be posted once we're all finished because we have a lot planned but we're not sure what will actually work or make it onto the car.

We got lucky for this model, JDM bumpers fit on the body fine, only the USDM windshield washer tank and reinforcement bars needed to be removed. We'll be testing the JDM bars and tank soon.
