The all seasons will provide decent service on packed snow for a cautious driver. Of course winter tires like Blizzacks will work better, but you pay for that performance. If you choose to live in snow country then you know that.

I agree, the payback for me seems more like 7-8 years. I am going to wait for 2015 Prius C, then have a look at it again and finally look at the difference between both in out of the door price (and re-consider the missing features in Prius C). While in the meanwhile also look at Subaru Impreza hatchback considering the winters getting worse here. In either case i am not going to rush considering the shortage in inventory.

@GeorgeL, yes you are right maybe i was over-expecting
