Is this normal for a new fit?

Got my fit delivered with the lane watch unaimed and some faded paint as you can see on the pictures. There is one door that has a weird layer when its humid outside but i havent been able to take a picture of it since it has been sunny all week. Does anyone how this could have happened to a new car?

It looks like left over wax/rubbing compound. Try dampening a soft clean wash cloth and gently wipe it away.

Pictures do work.

The lane watch camera should be aimed... it is a process that the dealer should have done in PDI. Take it back, slap him, and tell him to aim it.

The streaks on the plastic trim aren't faded paint. Those surfaces aren't painted. It looks like wax. When I first got my Fit, I (stupidly) got wax on those trim pieces and the streaks are still there. Try Mothers Back to Black or a similar product to clean it up.

As for the door, idk. Pics or it didn't happen.

Definitely wax from dealer prep. No worries.
I have a great product at home i use on all my black trim pieces. I'll check the name tonight and get back to you.

Yeah they messed up on the PDI. I will bring it back tomorrow and see if they can fix it, if not I'll try a product like that and see what happens. I believe the door has wax too but its only noticeable when its wet or really humid. I'll get some pics of the door soon. Thank you!

looks normal just get some plastic/rubber cleaner and clean it up.

looks like wax residue that got on the trim / rubber molding.

Had similar dealer prep issues with my Fit, in addition to swirl marks. Guess the dealer doesn't pay these guys very much.
