Whoa! I was thinking about that hatch locking thing and really wishing there was something there. I'm going to have to try it!

I really like that they put wine bottle holders in the rear doors. Seriously though, it's a perfect fit.

I like the usb port in the arm rest cubby, i put my iPhone cord in there and the cubby has a slot on the side for the cable to run out without getting pinched. I too like the wallpaper feature. I only wish i could turn the fuel efficient lights off. Or make them solid blue the whole time.

Just found out you can use either USB port when streaming.

Lucky people with two! My LX only has the dash. I'm looking to get a 12v adapter though for my usb cable, charging cord from the glove box seems like the way to go.

locks relock...

Found out today that the locks will re-lock if you don't open the door in time. This is mega cool to me... I'm always nervous that I've unlocked the doors from the house, while fumbling through my pockets or leaning on the counter, etc.. .

You can tap the cruise control +/- for the desired speed instead of holding it down. For example if your at 60mph tap the '+' 5 times and it will automaticly speed up to 65mph.

Is this not standard for most vehicles? My 2002 F-150 did the same thing.

Yeah, all Hondas with cruise control have done this at least since 1987.

I was bummed that the Fit didn't have a vent mode for the sunroof until I discovered it does.

My Prius did it a little different, but for the FIT (in case anyone else doesn't know) you push the Sunroof button IN (as in push UP/into the ceiling) to put the sunroof into vent mode. This is different from tugging the button back or forward, which of course simply opens/closes the sunroof. Also for those who don't know, vent mode is where just the back half of the sunroof raises up a few inches to allow hot air to escape from the car.

Love 'discovering' the cool options!

Wow, thanks! Can't wait to try it.

I've uploaded a photo of the Little Prince (our grandson) and although the manual gives you a certain 'spec', four of the five photos I uploaded via a thumb drive were not uploaded because the car said they were too big (?). Enjoy seeing the Little Prince in color every time I turn on my Fit in the morning. Nice addition.

Thanks for posting about the micro USB, that is brilliant! I was driving a 99 Ford Escort before my Fit so all of this technology is mind blowing haha

My 2010 rear seats also "recline" a couple inches. It makes a difference for tall people. I don't think it can refresh but I've never tried.

One of the coolest features if you have an iPhone is to hold down the "Talk" button on the steering wheel (below end call) to activate Siri. Then you can say stuff like:

"Play Michael Jackson"
"Play playlist..."
"Shuffle my songs"
"Get directions to..."
"Read my messages"
"Tell my wife I'll be late"
"Remind me to get the mail when I get home"
"Notify me when my wife leaves work"
"Call John"
"Get directions to John's house"

It's very useful!

If Apple adds features to Siri, then our cars get better too.

Do we know if any of this awesomeness works on the LX cars? I'll try to find out this afternoon but thought I would ask. Guessing 'no'

owners.honda.com says no.

On Fit EX and above models, if you have a paired Siri-equipped iPhone, you can use the convenience of Siri by pressing and holding the Talk button until you hear the Siri tone, and then command Siri in the conventional manner. Responses are limited to those that do not require a visual display on the phone, but the Siri Voice-to-text function provides great flexibility, including reading emails and texts.

I didn't notice it mentioned in the owner's manual but on my LX when I press the moon/sun button above the lcd screen, it not only lets you cycle between daytime versus nighttime brightness for the screen, it also lets you go from full screen of wallpaper or audio info to a minimized display that shows the audio type for a few seconds, then shows only the time. So if you get annoyed or distracted by the display, you can set it to mostly black with just the small clock in the corner. (You still have to mess around with the menu to switch between wallpaper and audio info, but I like that quick option for minimizing the info.) I'm not sure if I'm describing it well, but play around with that moon & sun button and you'll see what I mean.

The rear side seat headrests have a plastic bubble-like piece on the back. It easily pops off and allows for some hidden storage. There's a tab at the top and then two small clips on the sides that hold it in place. If you cut the top tab out, there is actually a good amount of space in there. Plus, there's two.
