Am I missing out on anything cool, features?

The newest vehicle I've owned was an 01 Dodge Ram - Cummins Powered. I've been in some pretty sweet modern cars including the finest German made, yet I never really had the time or ability to find out what cool things these new cars will do.

I keep noticing things that I never expected and think are the coolest things to find on a simple little Fit.

These are the little things that have really jumped out on my Fit LX 6spd
  • hill assist brakes!
  • micro USB hides under the usb port cover - 16gb for $9.99 loaded up with my favorite music
  • rear seats recline after I've told five friends they don't...
  • rear wiper kicks on when you go to reverse if the front wipers are on.
  • dotted line in the back up camera is the defining line of where the hatch can still open.
Am I missing any Honda tricks or other fun things?

  • I'm yet to load a screensaver
  • overrides for the rear camera to be used while moving forward?
  • any open outputs on the back of the head unit? Can I hook up anything cool?
  • OBD tricks? Like dashboard reporting codes after doing key cycles?

Other cool things out there? I'll continue digging through the forum of course.

Sorry for no tutorial... It's pretty self explanatory when you start through the settings. Just set it up for the first time. Apparently the files can be too large also.

And! I changed some background setting so it goes to wallpaper instantly and goes to normal radio screen when I touch any buttons.

Best Buy had 16gb for $9.99! And this is where you put the screensaver photos.

The darn close up pics make my 1000 mile car look beat up. It's really not!

How do you get the rear seats to recline?

Pull up on the seat release at the top outside of the seat back and push back. There are two angles the seat back can latch on--more upright and "reclined" (about an inch or so).

Not really a tech feature and is probably common, but the trunk door has a handle for you to grab and throw down and close the door instead of touching the paint and getting both the paint and your hands dirty. Seems like a lot of people don't use that heh.

That was one of the first features my tiny wife noticed! Easier reach. We also push on the center of the license plate when closing the hatch to keep hands off the paint and trim. We also close the doors with hands on the matte black window frame rather than on the paint.

I do think this is key to properly putting the seats in 'Refresh' mode. When the seatback goes back, so does the lower leg portion. This is the extra inch you need so you don't have to really cram the front seat down. Previously I was having my GF hold the front seat lever while I lowered the front seat and the back seat at the same time to squeeze them together. Refresh mode is supposed to be pretty comfy and I've heard people saying they don't like how the front seat sits on the back seat. When done properly they will fit flush against each other.

EDIT: just went out and tried this to show a coworker the car and found out it still takes some cramming.

Looked while I was out to lunch. Are you saying right where I reach under the Honda logo and pull the handle? Maybe this is EX cars instead of my LX? My bike rack is in the hitch at the moment and folded up so I was unable to look up from the underside. Maybe I'll do that this evening.

I wouldn't think it would be on the LX. It is for the Smart Key.

As for recline/refresh, yes it still takes a little bit of cramming, but it's still better then trying to refresh without reclining the back seat.
