Should I get the LX or EX
#21
I too wanted the Passion Berry but none available locally and weeks on order. So I got the Modern Steel EX-L with Navi and very happy with it.
A friend of mine got the 2009 Fit Sport in Passion Berry when it was new and it was on its way via boat with his name on it. lol.
Congratz on the color tho!

or these:
Regarding custom wheels, I put smoothie lakester disks on my xB's 15" steelie wheels. I've lost count of the number of people who have done the "cool wheels, dude, where'd you get 'em?" thing.
Umm, $50 a set from the VW store...
(not my car, but the colors are right)
I don't think I would like this sort of look on a Fit, but have been pondering body-color steel wheels with stainless hub covers, kind of like the old school Civics. Wheels should look like wheels, not sci-fi cheese graters.

I had to make that decision about six hours ago. I just came home with my new Fit tonight. I finally chose a White LX with CVT. The hardest decision was CVT or manual transmission. I chose the CVT mainly because the only White LX they had was set up that way. I think it will be the right choice in the long run. The Fit isn't a race car or a sports car; so there is no need to try and make it into one. I have a GTO as my go fast car; and a Miata that allows me to bang gears.
The first car I ever owned was a '42 Ford. It had a push button starter on the dash. When I bought my next car it used the key and ignition switch to start the car. I remember thinking what an improvement that was. I still feel that way.
I have Ford Explorer that I have owned for five years. During that five years, I have only opened the Moon Roof one time. That was the day I bought the car. I opened it just to be sure it worked.
I spent 30 years in the U.S. Infantry and at least that long around drag strips. My old ears have so much noise damage that I can't discern any difference between exotic sound systems and off the shelf stuff.
I grew up in the era when steel wheels and hub caps were all we had; so I can't get too excited by all the choices of alloys.
The bottom line is that all the extra cost things on the EX is stuff I probably would never use or appreciate even if I had them. Naturally, my reasons are my own....yours may be totally different.

Ex
If anyone asks me, I'd say go EX or EX-L because if they weren't sure, there are a lot of 'extras' they'd get by going upscale.
Me personally, I chose LX. I don't want those 'extras' and the extra weight.
Lighter weight, better fuel economy, cheaper, aerodynamics. These are all the most important things to me.

To put the LX vs EX weights in perspective,
with only a 150 pound driver aboard,
the EX six-speed is 2.2% heavier than the LX six-speed and
the EX CVT is 3.1% heavier than the LX CVT
...of course to someone who's ripping out seats and carpeting to get lighter

Wasn't that Blackberry Pearl in 2009? A little different shade of purple.

They left the jacks behind. lol. Guess their way of saying "Thanks for the wheels!"
I've installed wheel locks a week after I bought the 2015 Fit. It won't 100% prevent wheel theft but at least it'll deter casual thieves.

And don't forget the spare tire!! Who needs it, right?

I chose the LX because it was lighter than the ex. I plan on auto crossing it so I don't mind the steel wheels. I'm kind of a wheel whore and don't mind owning a couple sets of wheels. I also have another car so this will add to my fun ness. I also was turned away by the ex due to its alloys always getting stolen.

SORRY, THE LINK IS BROKEN (LEADS NOWHERE), BUT IT DID SHOW A SILVER 2015 HONDA FIT WITH NO WHEELS, SITTING ON BLOCKS, ON THE STREETS OF CHICAGO.

Fit OEM wheels have been targeted by thieves for years, as they fit many older Honda cars. Just google "Fit wheels stolen" and you will get plenty of photos and news articles. The 2015 will have the same problem as it has the same bolt pattern, just there aren't as many out there yet due to the production delays.

Congratulations! Perfect color for a hot, sunny environment. If you put 50% tint film on the 75% or so factory tint of the front windows, you'll be Nevada legal. You can go 15-20% film on the back and still see out at night.
