If I am going to mod front end....

I read that USDM headlights are crappy (?) and I normally drive at night.

I am wondering if I can use JDM projectors with USDM grill and bumper? I checked the Japan and US websites, the grills are different but the shape of grill and bumper looked the same to me.

USDM head lights work just fine.
nothing crappy about them.
JDM projector wouldn't work correctly cuz they are RHD it would be even crappier.

My only complaint with the USDM lighting is that I cannot use the fogs with parking lights only to get rid of the glare of the low beams. I can with our Ford truck.

It would also be nice to use the fogs to fill in up close when the high beams are on. I did that with the driving lights on my Road King and it made a huge difference at night.

Since all that appears to be in the turn signal switch, I will probably wind up just running a separately switched circuit to the fogs so I can have them on when I want them on.

Hmm... The fog lights are on a separate switch which I can turn on and off along with automatic mode. Yours doesn't have one?

Fog lights only working while the low beams are on isn't a Honda thing, it's a state law thing. Maybe not in your state, but in enough places that cars are generally just made that way. If you have auto headlamps then they're technically "on" so you can turn the fogs on or off as you please.

It does... but unlike my stock Ford truck, it ignores me when the main light switch is in parking light position.

In Auto, it only turns the fogs on when it turns the low beams on. If the turn signal switch is in the high beam position (pushed back toward the dash), Auto will never turn the fogs on.

In our Hyundai Sonata Limited, the fogs only work with low beams, when switch to high beams, the fogs are off.

TaubBaer, do your fogs work with parking lights only?

Not really. The purpose of fog lights is to provide a low cut-off alternative to headlights, which glare in the fog.

Since you can't use them without low-beams, the Fit has fauxg lights.

Tested last night, When I turn off the headlights to parking lights, the fogs turned off, too but DRL switched on.

Actually, their purpose is to warn other people that the driver's brain is in a fog. That's why so many people have them on all the time.
