I know on GD's, we can make JDM grills fit our US fronts with small modifications to the grille's mounting points.

My question is, can this (or something with a similar result) be done for the GE?

 

The fit shuttle grilles (pre facelift) work perfectly on our post facelift fit sports ('12-14)because the front bumper is exactly the same.

But prefacelifted jdm grilles will not fit on our usdm prefacelifted bumpers (ie. base upper grill/'09-'11 sport upper grill) even though they look very similar. This is because our nose is not as flat as as the JDM fit, and the mounting is very different from the usdm.

The facelifted fits(both JDM and USDM) with the wider upper grilles also won't transfer because they are not even remotely the same shape.

 

I assumed as such, too bad.
