I have come from a GD1 07 Fit Sport and just collected my new 6MT. There is a low rev 'ticking sound' that is very evident up to about 1500 revs (this was on my car and another on the lot) and then the engine noise seems to be much higher than my 07.
I am going to setup a DB meter and see what the noise levels are at different rev rates and then driving on the highway at say 60MPH in 4th gear.
Has anyone noticed that their new car is noisier than what they would have expected ??

 

Possibly you're hearing the injectors? GK has direct injection....

I think louder engine noise on manual transmission has also been discussed on a previous thread but could be wrong.

 

The DI engine in current gen Fit is more noisy then older MPFI one, this one has compression ratio of 11.5, 0.4 more than DI engine in accord
