Keep an eye out for any glowing paint, we did a full vehicle inspection after finding this and only the driver door has it. you can see some above the mirror as well. Honda sent me to their body shop, body shop determined it was damaged during shipping and covered up with a inferior product. Will be scheduling a time to have the door and fender repainted (fender for blending purposes of the silver)

They did apply some kind of thinner or compound remover after noting that the spot felt rubbery. This is what it looks like with the product removed.

At first got me curious about this "Glowing paint mod" thinking something new to do on our cars. lol

Lucky you guys caught that and getting it fixed properly. Problem is I'd be concerned about the chemicals and treatment they used on it may affect the metal underneath? Seems wiser just have the factory replace the entire door.

 

Wow good catch...how did you spot this? Is it easily noticeable or did you see your car glowing in your garage? lol

 

light makes it difficult to spot, but the gloominess of oregon and having the tint guys be so thorough when looking for any mistakes or clean up they needed led us to spotting this.
